Kelly’s story:
Growing up, adoption was something that was always close to my heart. A few of my childhood friends were adopted, so conversations were often sprinkled with adoption-related topics. As a childhood cancer survivor, I was informed that my ability to have children biologically would be very unlikely. While in college, I interned at a crisis pregnancy center where I had the opportunity to encourage women of all ages. In all these moments, God continually intersected conversations and people in my life surrounding the topic of adoption. He knew it would be a part of my life story.
Shortly after marriage, we began our difficult struggle with infertility and it didn’t take us long to begin researching adoption. After speaking with friends, we decided to work with Christian Adoption Consultants (CAC). I tell everyone that working with CAC was by far the easiest and best decision we made for our adoption journey! We signed on with our consultant in March and brought home our twins in June! Prior to working at CAC I was a counselor at a mental health clinic, but after the birth of our twins I joined the team here!
I feel grateful that I’m able to be a part of something that I’m incredibly passionate about. I consider it a joy and a calling to guide families through their personal adoption journey! The best part of my job is getting to know each family and learning their story. I’m honored to regularly receive pictures and updates from previous clients over the years. When I see how God has progressed each and every family through adoption, I’m filled with immense hope for future families!
