Adoption Story: Kiley and Ronnie

Kiley and I first started talking this exact week this time last year. Friends of hers and previous clients of mine worked with me and Christian Adoption Consultants who adopted TWINS. She spoke with them about the process and then we spoke in more detail about what the process would look like. Ultimately they decided that CAC was a good fit for them as well so we soon got started!

As a consultant I always tell potential families that one of the perks of working with a consultant is that there is NO part of this process that you are going to have to just figure out on your own. I will be with you every step of the way! As Kiley and Ronnie worked on their home study I designed and put together their profile book that would be presented to expectant moms.

By July their home study was complete and they began applying to agencies where they would soon began the wait? process. After weeks of potential adoption situations I sent on an email that contained information about the life and current situation of expectant mom A?. Kiley and Ronnie were very excited and decided to present!

4 days later they found our that they were going to be parents to a sweet baby girl. A? chose them and we were SO excited. It is the most exciting moment when you find out you have been chosen.

They walked through the next few months with expectant mama A? and in mid-February they welcomed their Daughter CharlotteCharlie? Elizabeth.

Kiley and Ronnie are so lovely and were a pleasure to work with along their adoption journey!

As I sit here this morning with my new daughter resting on my chest, I can’t help but reflect on how much our lives changed over the past year. After trying to research domestic infant adoption on my own, I was frustrated and worried about getting taken advantage of. I was fortunate that my friend, Mike, was adopting at the same time and made his journey public. He and his wife were already using Christian Adoption Consultants, and in one phone call with him, my husband and I knew our calling was to adopt and we called you immediately. When I think about how little I knew when we first spoke cost and financing options, what steps to take first, how situations would get to us, which birth moms would be a good fit for us, what a profile book was and how to put one together, and the list could go on an on I realize all over again how much harder adoption would have been with you and Christian Adoption Consultants. You were always responsive (even when you had your own newborn to prepare and care for), supportive, encouraging, and your advice was always on point. The agency you got us in touch with was also great, and I doubt we would have found them on our own without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our adoption a wonderful experience.
