Oh sweet Asher, you were prayed for, wanted, loved, and hoped for a long time sweet boy. Nicole and Jason came to me In January 2017, starting the year with a hopeful heart and big dreams of growing their family through adoption.
You guys, they are truly so lovely and the sweetest couple to work with. They were so kind and patient (as patient as a waiting family can be) and believed God would grow their family. It has been a long year with a lot ofmaybe’s? andalmost? and I know their heart broke a little more each one of those situations didn’t work out and the mama chose another family.
They stayed hopeful though, month after month. In October they received a call that a mama who delivered her son weeks earlier saw their profile and fell in love. This sweet mama and daddy tried to parent for a month, wanting to give it everything they could for their son and soon realized they wouldn’t be able to and wanted him to have more than they could give him. The social worker called Nicole and Jason to tell them the exciting news. A few days later they sat across a mom and dad that would be placing their beautiful son with Nicole and Jason. They laughed and cried together and just like that Nicole and Jason had a beautiful son, Asher.
He is perfectly made in God’s image and is loved by so many. Nicole and Jason have an amazing open adoption. They send pictures to the birth family daily and talk about how he is doing. It is one beautiful, God shaped family. Asher was born almost 9? months to the day that they started the adoption process, he was growing in their hearts the entire time.
From Nicole: Jason and I are so grateful that we met you! You have been a huge encourager and support system to us on this wild ride. This is not the last you will hear from us. We would love to work with you again in the future as we travel down this exciting and sometimes scary road to grow our family. We will definitely be sending you pictures so you can see Asher grow.
