Adoption Story: Amanda + Caleb

Walking with Amanda and Caleb as they pursued building their family through adoption has been an incredible privilege, allowing me a front-row seat to witness their unwavering love, resilience, and personal strength. From the very beginning, their deep care, intentionality, and trust in the Father left a lasting impact on me. Navigating the intricate adoption process, facing personal challenges as well as multiple failed placements, until the long-awaited day finally arrived when they brought home their precious son.

In moments of uncertainty, Amanda and Caleb displayed remarkable perseverance, staying committed and trusting that God was orchestrating their family’s story. They had unwavering faith and trust in His perfect timing held firm, even in the face of setbacks and delays. The joy and excitement that filled their hearts when they received the news of their sweet boy were immeasurable. Witnessing their heartfelt embrace of their precious boy brought tears of happiness and overwhelming joy. Amanda and Caleb’s adoption journey is a powerful testimony to the transformative power of adoption and the strength found in trusting the Lord each step of the way. It has been an honor to walk with them as they embarked on this beautiful chapter of their lives.

We started our journey in 2021. I have a congenital heart defect. Because of this, my husband and I knew, even from when we were dating, that God was calling us to the journey of adopting a child. We went in knowing this journey would be hard, but we never imagined the rollercoaster that it was. It was filled with highs, lows, bumps, frustrations, tears, joy, laughter, and God’s perfect timing. Our journey would not have been possible without the amazing support we had through Christian Adoption Consultants—working with Jaclyn and the team was easy and reassuring, and we felt nothing but support. We were prayed over constantly, and our questions were always answered. 

Little did we know our journey would be filled with three interrupted adoptions, but we stayed hopeful and continued to rely on the strength of the Lord and the full trust in knowing that He chose this journey for us for a reason! In May of 2023, just before Mother’s Day, we got blessed with the most amazing, precious gift—our son, Isaiah. Daily, we are in awe of God’s grace, mercy, and love for us as His children. The pain of our interrupted adoptions were never understood in the moment, but now we know exactly what God was doing. He has a plan for us, He had a plan for this sweet boy, and we are forever grateful to his Birthmom and for God’s amazing and precious gift to our family!’
