Why Should We Adopt?

No two families are alike. The same could be said for adoptions. In each case there are unique things in the decision making process.Most likely, if you choose to adopt, it will be a result of some combination of reasons.

Many couples have tried to add to their family through the more common, biological route, and for whatever reason, they have not been able to conceive. Adoption is a valid way to allow those couples to share the joy and responsibility of parenthood.

There is a real need for quality families to adopt. If children cannot be?raised by their biological parents, they need to grow up knowing that they were wanted from day one. To stare into the eyes of a child who is old enough to understand and be able to say, “I pursued you, I sought you out, and the Lord brought you to me,” can chart the course of that child’s life.

Other families feel like they are called to something greater – and what could be greater than providing a child with a forever family? The Bible says that children are a blessing from the LORD, but it also calls them arrows in a quiver.Raising a child is like releasing an arrow that will go further and faster than you can ever run.

You’re Ready for Commitment

Adoption is more than diapers and bottles. It’s trikes and dollhouses, junior high dances and drivers’ permits, late night talks and launching into adulthood. Adoption is walked out over the course of a lifetime.Families who adopt understand that they’re saying ‘yes’ for the long haul.
