Jessica and her husband, Hunter have a precious son who joined their family through the gift of adoption. A season living in India combined with a passion for ministering to vulnerable women and children led her to spend several years working for an orphan care ministry prior to joining the CAC family. Most recently, she spends her days at home with their son and loves every moment of being with him. Jessica enjoys helping processes operate smoothly and encouraging and supporting along the way. She loves seeing the kind and wise heart of our Heavenly Father on display through the ministry of CAC.
Shortly after my husband and I were married, we began praying that God would grow our little family, that He would bless us with children. We waited with excitement to see just how He would do that. As we continued to try biologically, we began to see that God, in His kindness and wisdom, had different plans, and that His plans are so much better than ours. He spoke to both our hearts and showed us that adoption is part of His good, good plan for our family and that we could trust Him completely as we stepped forward. He had known all along. We began to feel such a sense of excitement that God would choose this path for us.
We chose CAC with such a peace in our hearts and, much to our surprise and joy, were matched within a few months. Our son was born a month after we were matched, and our lives were completely changed in every way by this precious, precious gift! God used our church, friends and neighbors to provide abundantly what we needed to bring our son home. It was such a humbling, beautiful experience to be loved this way by the Body of Christ as they celebrated our son’s life with us!
I am so excited to be part of the CAC team as Katie Fenska’s assistant and provide support as families walk the exciting journey of adoption. I love to see God draw families to adoption and move in ways that are far greater than we could ever imagine!
